In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
