Seattle staged a stunning comeback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, securing their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a sixteen-point hole in the final period, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, registering their fifth consecutive win.

While the Rams had become the first to earn a post-season spot earlier on game day, the Seattle team booked their return to the postseason after a two-year hiatus.

With this result, the Seahawks now lead their Conference race with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Rams, who fell to the fifth seed with an eleven and four record.

Quarterback Darnold threw two picks but regrouped to deliver two scoring throws, including the tying score to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The visitors held a six-point lead at the break before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for the home side.

Rams defensive back Wallace then took back Darnold's initial pick for a big return, setting up a one-yard touchdown by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the final stanza, a scoring pass from Stafford to Nacua pushed the advantage to sixteen points, but Shaheed ignited the comeback with a spectacular punt return.

Darnold then connected with Barner in the endzone, and a successful conversion forced the game into overtime.

Although Nacua raced in for his another TD in OT, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the game-winning conversion.
